Teknika Records was born in Melbourne in 2005 out of a shared obsession with underground electronic music. What began as a DJ-only operation — bootlegs pressed to CDR and distributed through the club circuit — quickly became a nucleus for some of the city's most dedicated selectors.
Adam J. Colosimo establishes Teknika Records in Melbourne. CDR bootlegs and underground compilations begin circulating through the club scene.

Teknika Records is an independent Australian electronic music label based in Melbourne. Since its founding in 2005, the label has championed underground electronic music in all its forms — from the early CDR bootleg era through to a new generation of original productions released on Beatport and all major DSPs.
The 2025 relaunch marks a new chapter: original artist productions spanning melodic techno, progressive trance, uplifting trance and beyond. Teknika remains committed to quality over quantity — each release is a considered addition to a catalogue built to last.
