Teknika Records was born in Melbourne, 2005, when founder Adam J. Colosimo began pressing DJ-only bootlegs and underground compilations — burning them to CD and hand-distributing them through the city's club network. No streaming. No algorithms. Just real music finding real people in dark rooms.
The label became a trusted name in Melbourne's electronic scene — a home for DJs who played for the love of it and producers who made music that demanded to be heard loud. Teknika wasn't a business model. It was a movement.
That first chapter ran its course, but the DNA never faded. In 2025, Teknika relaunched — older, sharper, and more focused — with a catalogue of original productions available on Beatport and all major DSPs. The underground foundation now supports something with real reach.

Teknika Records is an independent Australian electronic music label founded in Melbourne by Adam J. Colosimo. We started in 2005 with bootleg CDs passed hand-to-hand through the club circuit. Today, our music reaches listeners worldwide through every major digital platform.
We sign artists who understand that electronic music is a craft — that tension and release, space and momentum, are as important as the drop. Our current roster spans melodic techno, progressive and uplifting trance, with new sounds always on the horizon.
